Amazing Artist

I came across this amazing artist the other day and just had to share. Helen works with old farming equipment and turns it into amazing sculptures. It is ofcourse related to recycling, but she is really in it for the art…here are my faves. All photos link back to her site.

Okay I have to go now and beg Kurtis to allow me to have one in my backyard!

Inspirational Wednesday

I’ve added some photos from my inspiration folder as well as other treasures I have found.

I hope this serves as a mid-week-inspirational-pick-me-up. Most of the photos have click through links.

I hope you feel as inspired as I do! Will be back tomorrow with a fun new Destination Thursday! I’m forever dreaming of great places around the world plus the few I’ve been to. Should inspire you for some summer holiday making!

My craft goals for 2010.

I’ve been thinking so much lately about all the things I really want to spend some much time on next year.  Of course there are so many,  but I’ve decided 2010 will be the most productive year yet!

This year I started my Etsy shop, which I love, but I haven’t nearly begun to really explore my creativity! I have so many ideas, most I which I forget before I get to a pen and paper ,thank-you fish brain! But its also trying to find more and more time to make these things plus all the other things I enjoy doing in life for example Baking! I did, however, gain much better sewing skills this year I’ve actually made a few bags in recent weeks and even sold one on Etsy. I took up knitting again, and on the weekend I had my first go at needlepoint! I loved it! So next year will be about learning more and more skills and becoming really good at things. Last night I even sat down for hours drawing a picture, and I think it actually looks nice!

Here are some things I will be Buying/looking at/loving next year to help me on my little way:

1. I’ve been eying off this book for a long time, But I think I’ll need a beginners book or watch some you tube videos first!

2. Become as good at embroidery as Jenny Hart, yes this is probably impossible! So amazing!

3. I want to make a patchwork quilt for our new bed, It’s between log cabin or just plain 5″ squares.

4. Fabric buttons! I started making these a few weeks ago and they are so much fun! On the weekend I stitched a little heart on to some calico and made it into a button. Will post photos later.

Well, thats just a few things for now. I’ll surely put up more projects when I remember what they were!
