What I want this winter

There is so much inspiration out there right now for winter! My mind is in a constant state of confusion as to what I want to wear this winter. Obviously my tartan skirts and cardigans will be my staple, its the best combination since peanut butter and jelly!

But here are some things I feel like ‘trying’ and some things ive had on my list probably since forever!

(click on the photos to go through to the shop)

This leopard coat is purrrrfect! I tried one on last year but it was a little bit different and didnt suit me, but this is going to be great!

I love wear wedges, but sometimes they look so boxy and heavy….but I think these look sleek and uber winter-ey. Plus I love velvet.

This dress is from forever21 in America….so the chances of me getting my hands on this dress are slim. BUT this dress is really nice and would go perfect with those velvet wedges.

The new shoes from Irregular choice are amazing! They are so wacky, but cute enough to go with just about everything.

I have used my Vivienne Westwood bag to death so I definitely need an upgrade and i love the drapery effect of this one!

This muff and turban set….imagine this with the leopard coat?!?! but I cant crochet :(

This adorable pom pom hat!

This bag is amazing! Love it so much…..so cute.

And the one other thing i need is a good pair of gloves. A nice leather tan pair would be perfect!

Bangs

I have had bangs for years now…like maybe 7 years? But every so often I get all like ‘yer I’m going to grow out my bangs and then i can do cool styles with a  long fringe’. Obviously after 2-3 months of said growing out, i get insanely bored and irritated with this ugly growing out fringe. So this morning, I woke up to look at this odd looking fringe and that was it! So i chopped an inch off, then had a shower then took another half inch off and even it all out. YES, I cut my own bangs. I never go to a hairdressers….I think I’ve been maybe 5 times in my entire life. I’ve been and had my bangs cut and it has turned out WORSE then when I do it myself. And quite frankly…this morning I did a pretty damn good job.

Here are some cool bangs. I promise I will take a photo of myself over the weekend to show you. I suck at remembering to take self porttraits or photos of my house, but I am trying to change that.

Have a super fun Friday evening…and weekend!xxx

Florance Welch

I love florence Welch. She is super cool, she sings and she has red hair. What more do you need?

Romantic and gothic…the perfect couple.

Its my favorite pairing of all time. Romantic black flowing ruffles mixed with Gothic jewels and make-up, what isn’t to love? I’ve put together a few of my favorite runway moments and a few items to inspire this look.

Bicycle, bicycle! I want to ride my….

Bicycle! Sorry, I couldn’t help myself. Every time I get on my bicycle or talk about it, I start singing that song.

Well anyway I wanted to show you the Pashley bikes….A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!

It also comes in pink, which i love, but this blue is really nice and not so sickly. The cream tires and the brown seat just brings it all together. I went and looked at her a few weekends ago….she was lovely and a tiny bit smaller than my Dutchie bike. I hadn’t rode my bike all winter and thought it was a bit big, and was thinking i should upgrade to this one. But i feel horribly ashamed now as I’ve been riding my bicycle every day and fallen bake in love with her, but I still love this pretty blue bike.

She is pretty no? I just have to order her a basket, and a little saddle bag.

We are going to ride down to regents park this weekend, which is quite far but I love riding this baby, she cruises on the highway!

Wuthering Heights

I watched the 1930 version of wuthering heights last weekend and it was truly wonderful. My heart felt so heavy but also happy by the end. It is most definitely one of my favorite love stories. If you haven’t watched it, then please do I really am lost for words on how to describe. It almost feels too personal to share. Just watch it.

I’ve got a busy weekend ahead. We are having a BBQ on Saturday, then on Sunday I’m off to the Chelsea frock me vintage fair. I can not wait for that! Plus I bought a bunch of smallish cushions that im going to pathcwork with soem lovely fabrics that I have acquired. Not sure when I’m going to fit all this in.

:)

Hello!

This lovely stitched bag from Lulu Guinness

Im so in love with this Vivienne Westwood dress! I think it would be perfect for, dare I say, Christmas?

Super cute Amanda Fatherazi brooches. These brooches were inspired by 60s icons to celebrate 50 years of Carnaby Street.

I LOVE this dress, unfortunately its a little short. It would have been so perfect at knee length!

This dress was on ebay this week and I don’t think I’ve seen anything quite so beautiful!
